Tata Indiacom to launch online store for mobiles

Chennai, Jan 16: Leading mobile service provider Tata Indicom is planning to launch a nationwide online store for mobile connections 'I-choose,' first of its kind in the country.

'I-choose' has been developed to empower consumers to make a well-researched choice from a wide range of Tata Indicom handsets, tariff plans and value-added services.

The customers could compare and select the appropriate tariff plan, handset and value-added packs to suit their exact requirements and lifestyle demands, CEO TTSL Darryl Green said in a release here.

This initiative will also provide customers the ultimate convenience of buying Tata Indicom postpaid connections at the click of the mouse with an upfront commitment of activation and free delivery of handset within three working days.

The e-shop is easy to navigate with a clutter free design format and ensures convenience for even a first time Internet user.

Mr Green said "as we move into the year of broadband, we want to take the lead by being the first service provider to introduce an online retail channel, which would offer our customers the convenience of obtaining mobile connections at the click of a mouse.

I-choose will help us to extend our reach across various segments and offer our customers the convenience of going mobile online," he added.

BillDesk will provide and manage the online payment gateway, he said adding the billing platform has been secured to ensure utmost protection and secrecy of all customers's shopping transactions.

The e-shop will also offer customer support linked with the central contact center.
