United Bank rolls out first of the proposed 600 CBS Branches

Kolkata,Jan 15 (UNI)The city-based United Bank of India(UBI) rolled out its first Core Banking Solution (CBS)Branch at the Tivoli Park here today in presence of Chairman and Managing Director P K Gupta and Executive Director Sunanda Lahiri.

Speaking on the occasion CMD Mr Gupta said with the opening of the Pilot CBS Branch UBI had stepped into an year long ambitious project during which the CBS facility would be extended to 600 Branches throughout the country in phases.

Accordingly, before December this year as many as 230 more UBI branches will be brought under CBS in the first phase, he said adding that the new All India software connectivity would bring about a revolutionary change in providing one of the best customer services with "One Bank One Customer" environment along with the "Anywhere Banking" facility.

Incidentally,the Bank had already been providing "Mobile and Tele Banking", Multi Branch Banking, Fund-transfer through Real Time Gross Settlement facilities to its customers.

UNI
