Kohima, Jan 15(UNI) The Angami Public Organisation, the apex official body of Angami tribe of Nagaland, has demanded revocation of the death threat issued to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, his family and the entire generation by the NSCN(K).

A statement, issued by seven APO leaders, including APO President Mhiesizokho Zinyu and Vice-President T L Angami, said, ''If the threat was issued on the spur of a moment, it will be revoked in order to set things right.'' The APO said that the government in Nagaland led by Mr Rio was a an elected one under the Indian Constitution and as such Rio has to toe in line with the directive of the Centre in regard to framing the government's policy.

The APO further appealed the NSCN-K authority to revoke the threat against Rio without delay so as to set things right, the release added.
