Temperatures by and large normal in most parts of the country
Pune, Jan 14 (UNI) Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu&Kashmir, northern Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, western Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, northern central Maharashtra, some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, remaining parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, southern Rajasthan, some parts of Jharkhand, Haryana, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, south central Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
They were appreciably above normal in remaining parts of northwest Rajasthan, in some parts of Orissa, Marathwada, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
However, temperatures were normal over the rest of the country.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over the Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar.
Very light rain has occurred at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh.
Mainly dry weather has prevailed over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar.
