Bhopal, Jan 14 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today announced that the recommendations of the 'Manthan 2007' workshop -- which was organised with the objective of the state's overall development -- would be implemented within a month.

''After Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh is the second state to conduct this unique experiment for public good,'' he told reporters here.

Expressing satisfaction over the recommendations of the two-day event, involving groups of ministers and bureaucrats, the Chief Minister said that a similar exercise would take place this July.

''The recommendations obtained have been placed in three categories and a few of them may be implemented immediately. Some relating to policies and resource limits will be considered and implemented within a month. The government has decided to form four groups in the governance, livelihood, infrastructure and social sectors. Security has been included under governance,'' he explained.

Documentation, officials' feedback, ideas and experiences would be tackled at the Academy. Three awards would be instituted, under a committee, for officers and other employees for outstanding work in public interest.

''Manthan is not being undertaken with an eye on the 2008 Assembly poll,'' Mr Chouhan said while trashing reports of dissatisfaction between people's representatives and the bureaucracy.

Government circulars regarding public welfare would be placed online through outsourcing. Other recommendations were for simplifying forms, transforming the tendering procedure, ending ad hoc appointments, building 'special location areas' to attract investors, ensuring effectiveness of employment exchanges and rural transport.
