Lalu must apologise to the nation: Nitish Kumar
Patna, Jan 14 (UNI) Taking a serious note of the ill-treatment meted out by railway employees to the Bihari victims returning from Asom, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today asked Railway Minister Lalu Prasad to apologise to the nation.
In a feast hosted by the Chief Minister at his official residence on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Mr Kumar told reporters here that it was unjustified to initiate action against the hapless victims of the Asom carnage.
He further said it was unfortunate that the railway employees have extorted money from such victims and have demanded action against the guilty.
Regarding delimitation of the parliamentry and assembly seats, Mr Kumar said the exercise has several anomalies which should be removed.
He also raised question over the changing of names of constituencies with historical importance.
JD (U) spokesperson Shivanand Tiwari, who happened to be a close confidant of Mr Prasad, told newspersons that the Railway Minister strange person and he should be housed in 'museum'.
