Governor, CM greet people on the occasion of 'Sankranti' festival

Bangalore, Jan 14 (UNI) Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today greeted the people on the occasion of Makara Sankranthi.

In his message, Mr Chaturvedi said that "may the Makara Sankranthi, which will also be observed as Pongal, usher in prosperity, gaiety and peace in everybody life." Mr Kumaraswamy, in his greetings, said that "Sankranthi which symbolises abundance and harmonious coexistence of people is a rare festival where every one of us will greet each other and share our joys. Let this festival be a turning point in the lives of people and bring them peace and prosperity." Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh have also greeted the people on the occasion of Sankranti festival.
