Court rejects bail plea of armyman in minor's rape case

Jammu, Jan 14 (UNI) Chief Judicial Magistrate of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir has dismissed the bail application of an Army personnel who allegedly raped a minor girl in his village.

Yesterday, while rejecting the bail of accused Mohammad Sharief, of Preta village under Bsholi Police Station, CJM Virender Singh Bhau observed a prima-facie offence under section 363/109/RPC against him.

The court further observed indulgence of the accused in the crime is more serious than to be committed by a civilian.

According to prosecution Sharief in conspiracy with his friend had abducted a minor girl of his village on November 11 last year and raped her.
