Shiv Sena burns Afzal's effigy demanding immediate hanging

New Delhi, Jan 13 (UNI) The Delhi unit of the Shiv Sena today burnt an effigy of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru at Khajuri Chowk in East Delhi, demanding his immediate hanging.

Holding demonstrations and shouting slogans against the anti-national forces who asked for Afzal's clemency, partymen denounced the government delay in sending the convict to the gallows.

SS (Delhi) chief Jai Bhawan Goyal said after the Supreme Court's verdict there should be no further delay in hanging Afzal as because of him anti-national forces were likely to attempt hijacking of planes to get him freed.
