Rio appoints Jongshilemba as Parliamentary Secretary

Kohima, Jan 13 (UNI) Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has appointed Mr Jongshilemba the Parliamentary Secretary at a simple function held at the Civil Secretariat here yesterday.

Official sources today said that the oath of secrecy to the new Parliamentary Secretary was administered by Rio in presence of Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, MLAs and state Government officials.

Cabinet Secretary Lalhuma, in a notification said the new Parliamentary Secretary, who will be holding the portfolio of Jail and Home Guards, will assist the Chief Minister in the discharge of his official duties and functions, with immediate effect.

With the induction of Jongshilemba, the number of Parliamentary Secretaries in the Neiphiu Rio led Democratic Alliance of Nagaland has gone up to 13, sources added.
