Ram Lal willing to contest from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat
Hamirpur, Jan 13 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Forest Minister Ram Lal Thakur today said he was willing to contest the parliamentary elections from Hamirpur again, if directed by the party high command.
Talking to reporters here, he said since he was a dedicated member of the party, he would abide by its decision.
The Hamirpur parliamentary seat had fallen vacant following the unseating of senior BJP leader Suresh Chandel whose explusion by the Lok Sabha Speaker was upheld by the Supreme Court recently.
Expressing optimism that he would be successful third time, he said this would also sink the BJP's ambition to return to power in the next assembly elections due in February 2008.
