Political violence prevails in CM's constituency

Imphal, Jan 13 (UNI) Frequent clashes were reported between supporters of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and Manipur Peoples Party leader L Jatra Singh at the Khangabok constituency.

Mr Jatra Singh, the former Assembly Speaker, alleged that plans had been plotted to assassinate him and requested the state DGP to provide him with adequate security.

He said violent clashes were taking place in the area and alleged that several vehicles were damaged and workers injured.
