Partnership summit of CII to kick start on January 17

Bangalore, Jan 13 (UNI) The increasing status of India as a major investment destination in the globe has led to over 26 business delegation participating in the 13th CII Partnership Summit beginning here on January 17.

The flagship event of CII, being held for the second time in the City, would significantly propel Brand Bangalore and would act as a platform for brand vision development and strategic marketing initiatives for India Inc.

With over 2000 delegates, including 700 from abroad, the 13th Edition of Partnership Summit was a history of sorts and position India as a critical and responsible partner in Geopolitics, Mr Nandan Nilekani, Infosys CEO and Managing Director and Summit co-chairman told newsmen here today.

He said the three-day event would promote India as a profitable and stable investment destination.

Portuguese Republic President Anibal Antonio Cavaco Silva will inaugurate the Summit in the presence of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamalnath and Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

More than 25 ministers from India and abroad will participate in the event.

The successive summits held in Kolkatta during the previous two years had helped West Bengal attract major industrial investment, Mr Nilekani added.
