Mulayam accuses opposition of conspiring against UP govt
Kanpur, Jan 13 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today charged the opposition with "continuously hatching" a conspiracy against the Samajwadi Party (SP)-led government but reiterated that nobody could "shake the pillars" of his regime.
Talking to mediapersons here, the SP chief said both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have gone astray from the path of the great leaders. "Birds of a feather flock together, that is why both the parties are blindly supporting each other." ''No one has the power to shake the pillars of the UP government.
All the efforts of the opposition would turn futile as over the years, the mass base of SP has rapidly increased. Therefore, I am seeing the results of the Assembly polls through rose coloured spectacles,'' he claimed.
''Succumbing to unnecessary pressure from the opposition, I ordered a CBI probe into the Nithari case. I was not against a CBI investigation into the Dr Kavita Rani and Nithari cases but I had utmost faith in the UP police,'' Mr Yadav maintained.
