Kamat, NPCIL Chairman awarded honorary doctorates

Mangalore, Jan 13 (UNI) Veteran journalist M V Kamat and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited Chairman S K Jain are among the four eminent personalities to be conferred with honorary doctorates by the Mangalore University for their outstanding contribution in their chosen fields, today.

The four distinguished personalities, including social scientist S C Sharma and researcher and writer Venkataraja Puninchitaya (Tulu literature), were awarded the honorary degrees during the 25th convocation of Mangalore University at Konaje, about 25 km from here.

Karnataka Governor and varsity Chancellor T N Chaturvedi also gave away degree certificates to successful candidates.
