Govt to set up Trauma Centre, Anganwadi in Nithari
New Delhi, Jan 13 (UNI) The centre would set up a 'Trauma Centre' and an Anganwadi Kendra in Nithari to help the families of the children and women killed there in dealing with the emotional and psychological shock they suffered.
Women and Child Development Minister Renuka Chowdhury told mediapersons here that the report of the high level committee set up by her ministry and the Home Ministry would come up on January 17 and a copy of it would be given to the Central Bureau of Investigation to assist in having a holistic view of the carnage.
''I am really shocked by that incidents like Nithari can happen.
Imagine children going for toffees and sweets and being killed in cold blood,'' Ms Chowdhury said.
The Anganwadi Kendra in Nithari village would help in improving the safety of children of working mothers.
Regarding the apprehension of some men about the misuse of Domestic Violence Act, Ms Chowdhury said that they were all misplaced. Pointing out that no woman could put her family and marriage in peril until faced with a lot of hardship. She said only the men indulging violent activities and torturing their wives for dowry or any other matter need to fear from this law.
