Faith in judiciary has come down in Chambal: CJM

Morena, MP, Jan 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice A K Patnaik today said development has not taken place in Chambal region as expected because faith in justice has come down and people had taken law in their hands there.

''Development halts if law and order situation deteriorates,'' said Mr Patnaik, while addressing a programme organised on completion of 75 years of the Morena District Abhibhashak Sangh.

He said law and order situation could remain intact only if faith in judiciary was maintained and judges and advocates needed to make joint efforts in this direction.

Mr Patnaik felt that executive should take steps that promoted people's faith in judiciary.
