Court awards imprisonment to four abductors

Kishanganj, Jan 13 (UNI) A Fast Track Court has awarded ten years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each to two abductors from this town who kidnapped a young girl here in June 2006.

Fast Track Court Additional District Judge (ADJ) Jhula Nand Jha sentenced two other accomplices to five years' rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each. The judgement was pronounced yesterday.

According to the prosecution lawyer, these people had kidnapped the young girl from her house near the air-strip here in June 2006.

Police had rescued the girl from in Malda, West Bengal, days after she was abducted.
