Bangladeshi Muslims behind disturbances in Asom: VHP
Lucknow, Jan 13 (UNI) Senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader and former MP Ramvilasdas Vedanti today alleged Bangladeshi Muslims of the ULFA were behind the recent disturbances in Asom to get rid of the Hindus staying there.
''It was a clear case of Bangladeshi Muslims trying to force the Hindus to flee from the place so that they can easily grab their land and properties,'' he claimed.
Talking to mediapersons, the VHP leader said the governments of Asom, Tripura and other North-eastern states were giving benefits like ration cards and Election Photo Identity Cards to the Bangladeshi migrants.
''If such things continue to happen, the Hindus of NE states would be forced to flee their homelands and within a short time the entire belt will be controlled by the Bangladeshi Muslims,'' he further alleged.
Terming the issue as serious, Dr Vedanti said the Dharam Sansad at Allahabad on January 16-17 would discuss the issue in detail and later, the issue will be also taken in the third Hindu Samellan to be held there on February 11-13.
