Azad, Venugopal receive Swami Vivekanand National Award 2006
New Delhi, Jan 13 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and AIIMS Director P Venugopal were presented the Swami Vivekanand National Award 2006 in the category of statemanship and health respectively.
The award, conceived by late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and constituted by Ramakrishna Vivekananda International Foundation, is given to recognise the contributions of people in different spheres of human development and service to mankind.
The award lauded the immense brainpower and the successful and dynamic leadership of Mr Azad who brought happiness to inumerable people of this country.
