Anti-drug campaign in Lohit districts of Arunachal

Itanagar, Jan 13: The Lohit and Anjaw districts administration hasdecided to launch a massive 'anti-drug addiction-2007' campaignthroughout the year following increasing drug menace that has poised aserious threat to the younger generations of Arunchal Pradesh.

The addiction becomes a matter of concern for electedrepresentatives, public leaders and each and every citizen of both thedistricts. In fact, it is feared that drug menace, if not prevented, islikely to spoil the entire young generation in the years to come,official sources said here today.

A huge rally involving government employees, gaon burahs,panchayat leaders, public leaders and students and general public willbe taken out throughout the Tezu, the district headquarters of Lohitdistrict, to kick-start the year-long campaign.

Similar rally will be taken out in various parts of the districtduring this year as focus and initiative has been shifted in this grayarea.
