Anti-drug campaign in Lohit and Anjaw districts of Arunachal

Itanagar, Jan 13 (UNI) The Lohit and Anjaw districts administration has decided to launch a massive 'anti-drug addiction-2007' campaign throughout the year following increasing drug menace that has poised a serious threat to the younger generations of Arunchal Pradesh.

The addiction becomes a matter of concern for elected representatives, public leaders and each and every citizen of both the districts. In fact, it is feared that drug menace, if not prevented, is likely to spoil the entire young generation in the years to come, official sources said here today.

A huge rally involving government employees, gaon burahs, panchayat leaders, public leaders and students and general public will be taken out throughout the Tezu, the district headquarters of Lohit district, to kick-start the year-long campaign.

Similar rally will be taken out in various parts of the district during this year as focus and initiative has been shifted in this gray area.
