Walnut trees planted over 50 hectares of land in Karnah

Srinagar, Jan 12 (UNI) More than 50 hectares of land had been brought under horticulture cultivation in Karnah sub-division during the current plantation season, an official spokesman said today.

He said 4850 walnut trees were planted under the technology mission in the Karnah sub-division during the season.

Under dry land development programme, nine hectares of land had been brought under the walnut plantation besides 415 plant protection machines and 12.50 quintals of barbed wire were distributed among the beneficiaries, the spokesman said.
