Urea crisis over in MP
Bhopal, Jan 12 (UNI) Urea shortage across Madhya Pradesh has come to an end with the receipt of one lakh tonnes of urea in January itself, official sources said today.
Urea crisis surfaced in the state last month due to delay in its supply. However, regular contact with Railways and the Chemicals and Fertilisers Ministry helped to ease the situation with despatch of more urea.
According to official sources, about 8 lakh tonnes of urea was required in the state during the Rabi season. One lakh tonnes of urea received this month had been supplied to different districts bringing the situation under control.
About 2 lakh tonnes of urea was required in January, the sources added.
