Tributes paid to Vivekananda on his birth anniversary
Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 12 (UNI) Rich tributes were paid to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary today in the district as well as in the town.
Speaking on the occasion, while garlanding the statue of Vivekananda at Kambalacheruvu, Bharat Vikas Parishad(BVP) State President K B Rama Rao called upon the youth to follow the footsteps of Vivekananda, who spread our culture, spritualism in and social development abroad.
Mr Rao urged the youth to take Vivekakanda as their role model and follow his ideals.
The District Collector M Subramanyam said youth should make use of the Government schemes for their development, adding that several employment opportunities were being created by the Youth Welfare Department here.
