Telecom services in temple town will be upgraded: GM
Tirupati, Jan 12 (UNI) Tirupati and Chittoor will be upgraded within the next five months with the installation of sophisticated equipment, Telecom General Manager R Mani said today.
Talking to reporters after launching a new SMS service for the benefit of lord Venkateswara devotees here, he said from the existing 19 lakh equipped capacity, 15 additional lines were planned to be added in the AP circle with the erection of 674 new towers.
Stating that plans were afoot to set up high speed optical fibre network in local loop at Tirupati, he said already 26 km were covered in primary places in the temple town.
