Seven people arrested

Barasat, Jan 12 (UNI) Police arrested at least seven miscreants of an armed gang on the NH 34 here in North 24 Parganas early today.

A sizeable number of lethal weapons, a fire arm and 30 pieces of live bombs were seized from the truck, the police said.

According to the police, highway patrolling team held a truck as it was stopped at the Railway Gate 11 on the NH 34, near Dak Bunglow crossing at Barasat and nabbed seven of its occupants, including the driver, while a few others fled away.
