Precious metals rise on bullish advices

Mumbai, Jan 12 (UNI) Both the precious metals today rose on bullish advices with the white metal up by Rs 60 per kg and Gold going up moderately by Rs 10 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Exchange.

Silver fineness opened high at Rs 18,935 on good advice it subsequently improved and closed at Rs 18,960 per kg, gaining of Rs 60 per kg from yesterday's close.

In London, the white metal was quoted high at 12.40/12.45 per troy ounce against US 12.39/12.40 dollars per troy ounce in New York.

Similarly, standard gold (99.5) and pure gold (99.9) opened high at Rs 8,890 and Rs 8,940 per ten gm respectively on reduced stock supply.

The yellow metal closed at Rs 8,890 and Rs 8,935 per ten grams with a gain of Rs 10 and Rs five respectively from its previous close.

In London, the yellow metal was high at USD 612/615.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 610/612 per troy ounce in New York on Wednesday.
