Bhopal, Jan 12 (UNI) Weapons and naxal literature were seized today during police raids at three locations here in the wake of the busting of an illegal arms factory that had naxal links.

Police teams from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka are rushing here for interrogating the five persons, including a woman, apprehended and suspected to be office-bearers of a rebel organisation. The accused are under tight security and senior state Intelligence officers are constantly monitoring the case.

''Today's raids targeted two locations in BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd) Nagar and one in Govindpura's Bijli Nagar. These places had been taken on rent by the naxals. Sizeable naxal literature, arms-manufacturing implements and weapon parts were seized,'' said Superintendet of Police Anant Kumar Singh.

Rocket-launchers, mortar parts, explosive, implements for making revolvers, self-loading rifles, .303 rifles and hand grenades were seized.

The factory, which was operating for about two years in Piplani's Satnami Nagar, was busted by the city police yesterday.
