PM to visit Asom on Jan 16 to meet victims' families

New Delhi, Jan 12: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Asom on January 16 to meet the family members of the victims of ULFA attacks.

According to official sources, the Prime Minister will also personally review the security scenario in the State.

The underground ULFA millitants gunned down over 56 persons between January 6 and 8.

The ULFA had earlier issued a warning nearly a month back to all migrants to leave Asom on their own.

The militant outfit has also threatened to disrupt the National Games to be held in the State from February 9 to 16.
