Pangolin found in K'taka village
Madikeri, Karnataka, Jan 12 (UNI) A Pangolin was found at Kaikeri village in the hilly Kodagu district of Karnataka.
A dentist, Dr Ashik Chengappa, found the scaly animal and sheltered it in his kennel to protect it from assaulters.
Dr Chengappa wanted to hand over the four-ft-long anteater, weighing ten kg, to the Mysore zoo, keeping in mind its safety.
Pangolins usually wind up its body like a ball and come to the normal shape only when it needs food. It emanates a foul smell to keep away enemies.
