No threat from China: Air Chief
Chandigarh, Jan 12 (UNI) Ruling out a threat from China, Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi said India was keeping a watch on its growing defence power and was capable of meeting any challenge.
''Now India's relations with China are warming up and trade ties have improved,'' said the Air Chief Marshal, who was here to attend a seminar on 'Air Power in Hamalayas' to be organised tommorow.
On the increasing security requirements, he said, ''With the changing security senario, Air Force is going to play a dominant role not only in war but also during peace as it knows no direction, terrain and region.'' The securiy arrangements are reviewed constantly, he added.
To further exploit the space power, he said, ''We need advance hardware and sofware technology, trained manpower and professional organisation with long range aircrafts and proper network.'' About the role of Air Force, he said, We not only fight wars but also work to prevent it by stregthening our forces.
