No respite from cold spell in Punjab
Jalandhar, Jan 12 (UNI) There was no respite from cold spell in Punjab during the past 24 hours with Adampur air port again recorded the minimum temperature of minus 1.4 degree celsius this morning.
Most parts of Punjab and adjoining regions of Haryana are reeling under severe cold wave for about a week and most of the places today recorded minimum temperatures between minus 1.4 degree celsius and 3.8 degree celsius, an official spokesman said quoting Air Force Met Centre data.
Halwara airport (Ludhiana) recorded 1.0 degree celsius, Amritsar 1.8 degrees celsius and Pathankot recorded 3.8 degree celsius this morning, he said.
