N K Goel, new General Manager of Eastern Railway

Kolkata, Jan 12 (UNI) Mr Narendra Kumar Goel today took over as the General Manager of Eastern Railway.

Earlier, Mr Goel was the General Manager of East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar.

An Officer of 1972 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE), Mr Goel worked in various capacities in Indian Railways.

He had also worked as the Additional Member (Signal), Railway Board. He also served as Divisional Railway Manager, Firozpur, and Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer, Northern Railway.

He also worked as World Bank Consultant for rehabilitation of Signalling and Telecommunication system on Uganda Railways. While working in RDSO, he developed infra-red hot box detector, last vehicle device and AC immunisation point machine.
