Murdered lecturer's brother joins VP's Jan Morcha

Lucknow, Jan 12 (UNI) The elder brother of Meerut university ad hoc lecturer Dr Kavita Rani, allegedly killed for exploiting UP ministers, today joined former Prime Minister V P Singh-led Jan Morcha.

Mr Satish Malik told reporters here his sister was killed for toeing the line of politicians who wanted to exploit her.

The CBI had recently taken over probe into the alleged murder of Dr Kavita on the request of the UP government.

Mr Malik, who joined Jan Morcha in the presence of local leaders, alleged that state basic education minister Kiranpal SIngh was helping people accused of Dr Kavita's murder. ''He should be removed from the Mulayam Singh Yadav government,'' he added.

He said he had joined the Mr Singh's party to bring the killers of his sister to justice.
