Mizoram team visits Andaman to see reconstruction work

Aizwal, Jan 12 (UNI) A ten-member delegation including four MLAs and high officials, have left for a trip to the tsunami-affected areas in Andaman&Nicobar Islands yesterday, official sources here today said.

The team would visit the reconstruction sites in tsunami affected areas of the island during their three day visit, sources said.

MLAs of four major political parties including Zoram National Party, Mizoram Peoples' Congress, Congress and ruling Mizo National Front, Chief Secretary Haukhum Hauzel and three other officials of the state administration, sources said.

State home and health departments have also sent a contingent of anti-malaria pills for the Indian Reserve Battalion personnel, who were deployed in malaria-infested Sukhma area of Chhatisgarh, an official release here stated.
