Mizoram team in Tsunami hit Andaman

Aizwal, Jan 12 (UNI) A ten-member delegation including four MLAs and high officials from Mizoram have left for tsunami-affected areas in Andaman&Nicobar Islands yesterday, official sources here today said.

The team would visit the reconstruction sites in tsunami affected areas of the island during their three day visit, sources said.

MLAs of four major political parties like Zoram National Party, Mizoram Peoples' Congress, Congress and ruling Mizo National Front, Chief Secretary Haukhum Hauzel and three other officials of the state administration, sources said.

State home and health departments have sent a contingent of anti-malaria pills for the Indian Reserve Battalion personnels, who were deployed in malaria-infested Sukhma area of Chhatisgarh, official release here stated.
