Mild tremors in MP

Jabalpur, Jan 12 (UNI) Mild tremors, measuring 2.8 on the Richter Scale, have been experienced in this cantonment town due to geological activity in the Narmada Valley.

Details obtained from the Seismological Department said that the tremors were felt at about 0430 hrs yesterday. The epicentre was in the Kundam forest 35 km from here.

Previous tremors here were 5.2 on October 17, 2000, 6.1 on May 22, 1997 and 3.7 on October 20, 1993.
