Jan 16 to be dry day in TN

Chennai, Jan 12 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Government today ordered closure of all IMFL retail vending shops and bars and FL-2 bars in clubs on January 16 in view of Thiruvalluvar Day.

An official release here said there should not be any sale of liquor on the day. "If any violation is noticed, severe action will be taken against the licensee under the relevant rules", the release added.
