Jaiprakash Assoc Q3 net rises to Rs 102 cr, interim @ Rs 2/share

Mumbai, Jan 12 (UNI) Jaiprakash Associates Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 102.0 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 56.0 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

Announcing the results, the Company said its total income had increased from Rs 820.0 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 to Rs 931.0 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

Meanwhile, the Board of Jaiprakash Associates has declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.00 per share (20 per cent) absorbing a sum of Rs 43.74 crore (excluding dividend distribution tax of Rs 6.13 crore) for the financial year ending March 31, 2007.
