Ispat Ind to set up steel plant at Rs 6,750cr with Jharkhand govt
New Delhi, Jan 12 (UNI) Ispat Industries Ltd today entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jharkhand for setting-up an integrated steel plant requiring an investment of Rs 6,750 crore.
The proposed steel plant will initially have steel making capacity of 2.8 million tonnes per annum, which is proposed to be enhanced to five million tonnes per annum in phases.
The plant is proposed to be set-up at Manoharpur in West Singhbhum District in Jharkhand.
The implementation of the MoU would be taken up by the company after obtaining all requisite approvals, the company said in a statement.
