ISA welcomes package for semiconductor
Bangalore, Jan 11 (UNI) The India Semiconductor Association (ISA) today welcomed the Special Incentive Package Scheme announced by the Union Cabinet to attract investment in semiconductor industry.
ISA President Poornima Shenoy said that the association appreciated the government for clearing the Semicon Policy. The importance of the semiconductor sector was taken note of as it had impact on the economy.
"This policy should help India to carve out a global position in semiconductor world in spite of being a late entrant. We expect the policy to give Semiconductor and Electronic manufacturing services industries a much needed impetus for growth leading to a projected contribution of 202 billion US Dollars by 2015 and provide employment to 9.35 million people," she said in a statement issued here tonight.
UNI RS TS2219 setting up of semiconductor fabrication and other micro and nanotechnology manufacture industries in the country to spur the Information Technology sector.

will

up

facilities
