Govt plans computer education in 9000 schools: Minister
Visakhapatnam, Jan 12: Andhra Pradesh School Education Minister N Rajyalakshmi today said the government plans to introduce computer education in 9000 schools in the state.
Addressing a Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) review conference here yesterday, the Minister said the government would take steps to reduce the burden of carrying too many books by making on-line learning through computers to students.
The main focus would be on providing better education to girls and improving facilities in the existing schools.
Under the SSA, the state government had allotted funds to the tune of Rs 1,170 crore, she added.
