Enforcement Directorate raids hawala operators in Ahmedabad, Surat

Ahmedabad, Jan 12 (UNI) Sleuths of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) Delhi today conducted a series of raids on hawala operators in Ahmedabad and Surat.

Deputy Director of ED Mr AK Lawande confirmed to UNI the raids saying that they were conducted with the help of local ED officials.

He said since the whole operation has been centralised at Delhi, he was not able to give details.

A source in the ED here said the picture will be clear only on Tuesday. No information was available from Surat either.
