Another girl mauled by leopard in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 12 (UNI) One more girl was killed by a leopard in south Kashmir today, police said.

They said Beauty Jan was attacked and wounded by a leopard at Achabal in south Kashmir district of Anantnag this morning.

She was immediately rushed to a hospital, but she succumbed to wounds on the way, the police added.

Her death comes three days after a ten-year-old girl, Shabina Akthar, was killed by a leopard at Utrasoo in the same area on January 9.

Wild animals have killed more than a dozen people in the Kashmir valley since November last year.

Officials said there were 60-70 incidents of man-animal conflicts last year.
