431 units setup under REGP
Srinagar, Jan 12 (UNI) To overcome the growing unemployment in the Kashmir valley, 431 income generating units have been set up under the Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP), an official spokesman said here today.
He said these units have been set up with a financial investment of Rs 9.80 crore.
However, he said Rs 2.76 crore were provided as margin money to the unit holders by Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB).
As many as 6000 people have got employment in these ventures, he said.
