17 absentee officials suspended in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 12 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended its 17 officials for being absent from duty, an official spokesman said today.

He said to ensure punctuality in government offices, Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, G A Peer inspected various offices and found 17 official of Divisional Forest Office, Social Forestry, Chief Horticulture Office and District Sheep Husbandry absent from duty.

Mr Peer ordered immediate suspension of the absentee officials, the spokesman added.
