10 polio cases reported in Gonda

Gonda, Jan 12 (UNI) At least 10 polio cases have been detected in Gonda district since September 2006, official sources today said.

All the fresh cases comprise children below two years of age.

While, three cases were detected in Ruphidih block, Haldharmau and Babhanjot accounted for two polio cases each.

Similarly, Katra bazaar, Padhri Kripal and Belsar block reported one case each, sources informed.

A total of 641 polio cases have been detected in the country, of which UP alone accounts for 519.
