Court dismisses pleas in Kashmir sex scandal case
Chandigarh, Dec 11 (UNI) A lower court today dismissed the plea by those booked under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) in the Kashmir sex scandal to segregate their case from the main rape case.
The defence counsel had earlier argued that since the witnesses in the rape case were different from the those under PITA, the case should be separated and heard over by a magistrate.
Distict and Sessions judge B S Mehandiratta court who fixed February 6 as the next date for hearing the case, also dismissed some other pleas including the one seeking complete documents of the chargesheet from the CBI.
