Road block for six hours following killing of two people by ultras
Daltonganj/Latehar, Jan 10 (UNI) Irate mob today blocked Ranchi-Daltonganj main road for nearly seven hours after banned Tritiya Prastuti Committee(TPC) gunned down two persons, including a member of its rival group, besides critically injuring one in Latehar district last night.
The Superintendent of Police in Latehar confirmed that the incident occurred under the Manika police station.
Two persons fell victim to the TPC activists, when they were riding past a place, where the ultras were beating one Shiv Prasad near Bakoria village located at the Daltnganj-Ranchi main road.
The ultras fired on both, Vijay and Upendra, when they did not stop after they were challenged. Vijay died on the spot and Upendra got injured.
Later on, Shiv Prasad, the member of the Maoist Communist Centre succmbed to injuries, he said.
However, the agitated people relented following intervention from the adminitration.
